It all started in 1908 when a fisherman came to America to fish the waters off New England. He bought an old wooden U.S. Navy boat, crafted it into a fishing vessel, and fished with his sons.
He named the fishing boat "The Santa Lucia" which is still fishing in the port of Gloucester.
The two grandsons who own the Lobster Pot, buy their seafood from local fisherman, like their grandfather; to guarantee freshness and quality and to help continue the tradition of the New England fisherman; a unique and hard-working industry.
We invite you to come to the Lobster Pot, where you will see his grandsons and their family working hard to serve the freshest and best local seafood that New England has to offer.

The Lobster Pot is an eat-in-the-rough favorite where seafood is so fresh, it must be plucked straight out of local Cape Cod waters. The spacious dining room is noticeably clean and pleasant, with big wooden booths and fun fisherman decor. - The Phantom
From the first second upon entering the casual and welcoming atmosphere, I knew this restaurant was the epitome of Cape Cod. The menu featured a vast variety of fresh seafood ranging from your basic fish and chips to the freshly steamed lobster of your choice; whether it be a 2 pounder or a 10+ pounder. The best seafood I ever had, the food is unbelievable! I picked out a 3-lb. lobster fresh from the tank. WOW was it good. The fish is like no other fish I ever tasted, so fresh, so good. This place is a "Lobster in the Rough" style. It's Great! - Bob of Boston
